Been a minute since I’ve even sat in a Tesla, looking forward to driving the 3

Nice. I’m seriously thinking about getting one in about a year.

These have finally started becoming a common sight on the roads here. My main complain about them (without having driven one) is that the rear window stops much to high in order to accommodate their stupid trunk (when they should have had a hatch). I’m curious if it’s a pain to see out of, or if it just looks bad from the outside.
I like the minimalist dash, though I can imagine a HUD or other simple display might be welcome.

I think there’s an interesting aftermarket opportunity there. Something that pulls data of the CAN bus and displays it in front of the driver as a HUD. Ideally something simple, like speed and battery level, and preferably wouldn’t require modifying the car to install.

I signed up for it too just to try it.

You would not believe how many Model 3's and S’s are for sale at the BHPH and third tier dealers around here. And the depreciation on these things is ruinous .
I can go get an S P90D AWD with Ludicrous (price: $128,000+ ) for less than $50k. The novelty of ownership on these wears out very quickly and people just are not keeping them long.

My boss bought a S 100D, the buyer backed out though so now we’re going to eat absolute shit on the car.

I’m not at all surprised. They’re impossible for a daily in winter because the range jumps right off a cliff, they’re difficult to insure because of Tesla’s repair bullshit, and they’re utterly impossible to repair.
Tesla’s bullshit is so bad that my insurer actually will not underwrite policies on them period . And I actually witnessed the body shop telling a Tesla victim that they’d need a rental for a minimum of 4 months because the airbags deployed. Minimum 4 months .

There was/is (havent looked) a Model S P90 something something with sub 25k miles on OVE with like a 50k buy now.

Doesn’t surprise me in the absolute least, not one bit. Especially since the first accident instantaneously results in the insurer dropping it or the owner selling. Even minor fender benders. Simply because Tesla refuses to allow anyone to repair it and refuses to supply the ones they do allow.

Just Tesla things
